Christine Sprowell Project Manager

Christine Sprowell – Active New Communities Project Manager

Christine joined the Living Sport team in August 2018 as Project Manager for the Active New Communities project. Christine is responsible for the development and implementation of the Active New Communities Project, working in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council, District Councils, Housing Developers and Housing Associations to support the new communities targeted through the project.

Christine has 25 years’ experience of working within coaching, sports development and sports management.  During this time she has worked with a diverse range of sports organisations, educational establishments and voluntary groups. Christine has held a variety of roles within the county prior to her undertaking national management roles with the Tennis Foundation. She spent several years coaching tennis full time and later moved into development roles with the LTA and sports coach UK. She has also supported the development and management of sports coaches working in schools and has experience working within the further education sector. Christine has worked as a tutor and coach educator for the LTA, Youth Sport Trust and sports coach UK.

What personal data do we collect?

The personal data we collect includes contact details when you complete our Activity Questionnaire or the Contact Us form. ​

If you have already provided your data to us we will use this under 'Legitimate Interest', in other words you have already shared your information with us for a reason that has not changed, therefore we can assume you are happy for us to have this data. Why do we collect this data and how will we use it?

We collect this information for a number of reasons including;

  • It helps us to deliver the service of supporting people to stay active

  • We can evaluate the effectiveness of the programmes and produce reports to measure impact on identified project objectives

​Who will we share this with?

This information will only be shared with partner organisations contracted to deliver this project. These include District councils across Cambridgeshire (Cambridge City, East Cambridgeshire, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Fenland), Living Sport and Cambridgeshire County Council, Urban and Civic and BPHA.
